‘Next-Base’ Portable DVD Player!

For Christmas a few years ago me and my sister received this portable DVD player, at the time they were new out and all the rage! It was practical and a good idea as my family do a lot of travelling. The first few months – great but as time went by problems started to occur, there was only one headphone plug, so sharing became a issue, later resolved by a headphone adaptor – sharing was no longer a problem. We had a case that came with it that could be adjusted to the back of the car seat which soon snapped leaving one of us to just hold or balance the DVD player.

But that’s not all, about a year after the entire thing kept switching on and off if the lead moved in the slightest way. So mid-way through films it would just switch off, I still use it now but its very temperamental and have to treat it so delicately, unlike the bulky thing it looks like! Another problem has recently occurred, once I have played a DVD the next time it gets played the film jumps and freezes, which is so annoying. I figured out why! The player itself was actually scratching the disc’s which was a whole new problem as the DVD got ruined and the player is temperamental. It’s a bit of a let down really, as if it wasn’t such of a mess, it would have got a lot of good use from it.
